So in the last post, we covered On-Page SEO and that is pretty much everything that deals with you taking control of your blogpost and improving your ranking, everything about On-Page SEO is mostly within your control.
With off-page SEO it is a little more out of your control, but basically, it is just you networking with other websites and with other users online to get your website out there.
You can think of Off-page SEO like, if you are starting a business in your city, where you answer questions that people might be asking, you go to networking events, you talk in front of people if you can, you are just getting yourself out there and getting your brand and business known and it is very similar to the online world, so that is what we will be doing today.
GUEST BLOGGING

The first you could do is guest blogging, simply write about your topic and offer that article on another popular blog, and usually, you would have your author bio with a link back to your site.
This allows people to know who you are and lets you kind of network online to let them know that you are there.
Q&A (Questions & Answers etc.)

The next thing you can do is to go to questions and answers like Q&A sites like Quora and answer questions that people have about your topic, this also elevates your brand and elevates you as the expert in your field.
CREATE SOCIAL PROFILES

The next thing you can do is also create social profiles and you can do this on things like Facebook, Linked In, Twitter, Pinterest. Go for the ones that are viable with your website and those will probably be the ones that will drive the most traffic for you.
But that also goes along with content marketing. If there is a platform that is best for your site, for instance, we (Legere Academy) do blogging for product reviews because it is great to tell people about products as if you are having a conversation and that is good for our brand, Pinterest is a great example if you have a very visual website or blog and so you can create Pinterest pins and share them to get your name out there for that.
And in the business world, LinkedIn and Twitter are great for those who are creating pieces of content that also point back to your website.
SOCIAL BOOKMARKING

Now along with answering questions on Q&A sites and getting your content out there on different platforms, you can also do something like Social Bookmarking.
Social bookmarking which simply sharing your articles or things like that on a social bookmarking site such as Reddit.
You are just trying everything you can to surface your site for the most people to see that
BROKEN LINKS

One of the quickest things that you could do when you are just starting on Off-Page SEO is getting broken links back to your site, and all that means is that there are millions and even trillions of articles out there, and a lot of them are talking about your topic, but they have probably linked to a website that no longer exists.
So that is a broken link.
So if you could find those and reach out to the author of that page and send them to your site, then you could get that backlink for your site.
INFLUENCER OUTREACH

One of the next things you could do is to do Influencer outreach.
This has become popular especially in things like Instagram and Twitter, things online where you have these influencers that already have an audience and you simply want to partner with them if you and only if their audience is a good fit for what you are talking about.
So consider reaching out to them and seeing what kind of collaboration that you can do with them to get some backlinks.
FORUMS

You can also go into forums, and don’t be afraid to go into Facebook groups or slack channels even if a lot of those are behind a sign-up wall and not freely available online, you can still add your links to your website and people will go over to your website from you answering questions that they might have in the groups.
So please let me know in the comment section which SEO techniques are you going to try this week to improve the rankings of your website.
